I virtually sat down with Dean Rajan to discuss Booth’s plan of action to address diversity and inclusion.
After the George Floyd murder and subsequent events, many students, myself included were disappointed in the administration’s response. AAMBAA went directly to Dean Rajan with a collective POV and requested immediate changes to many aspects of our program and curriculum. Their conversation alongside many others led to the development of Booth’s first formalized plan of action for D&I which you can read here.
I saw this conversation as important to have and share, because I want myself, peers, professors, alum and prospective students to be proud of our program and institution. I want our every person in our community to feel welcome, accepted and an integral part of our larger community.
And, please do hold Dean Rajan accountable and do your best to hold yourself accountable as well. We’re all in this together for the long haul. Be the change you want to see in the world.
